Hi! My name is Angie Hull. I am a certified Health and Life Coach. I am a wife, mother, and a grammy. I love the Lord, my family, my dogs (okay, all dogs 😊), and all things health! I know what you’re thinking…seriously? Health? I mean there are a lot of things to love Angie…but health stuff? And my answer is yes!
I became a health coach because I want to bring hope and help to people struggling with their health. I want you to know that “being healthy” is easy and doable. My passion is to bring people hope.
Part of my passion for health comes from my health battles when I was younger. I’ll be sharing more of my story later on the blog, but I want to share a little now. I had cancer as a child. The doctors told my parents I had a 35% chance of living through treatment. But God had other plans for me. (Don’t you just love those words…”But God?!) That was 40 years ago. Shortly after I finished my 2 years of chemotherapy I had another illness where I died....yes, you read that right...I was “gone” for nearly 8 minutes. As a result, I had extensive brain damage. I had to relearn everything. And I mean everything. I was on a breathing machine for a week, I was in diapers (at 11 years old), I had to learn how to talk again, how to feed myself, how to walk..I do mean everything. Some of my health issues could be related to what I went through as a child.
I also want to bring hope to you because at one point I was hopeless. I was hurting all of the time. I was tired ALL the time. I had headaches nearly every day. I was overweight. I homeschooled my kids and I remember waking up nearly every day feeling defeated....and I hadn’t even gotten up yet!! I was sleeping late, which meant we would start school late...AGAIN...and then I felt guilty...and then I was grumpy...it was a vicious cycle. It was not a fun place to be. Then I watched a health documentary on Netflix. I was like “Whoa”! Maybe if I start eating better I won’t hurt all the time and MAYBE I’ll be able to get out of bed in the morning feeling rested. The first thing I did was I tried to buy organic as much as possible and I cut out sugar. And it went on from there. I watched more docu-series and read more and kept making more and more changes in our diet and lifestyle. Today I am pain-free, I no longer have headaches and my sleep is amazing! Oh, and those 2 boys I was homeschooling....one is 20 and starting his second year in college, the other is 18 and is starting his senior year in high school, as well as working.
This lifestyle is not hard. It might take a little bit of a learning curve, but I will be with you every step of the way. I guarantee that every bit of effort you put into this is worth it. Think about NOT having headaches every day. Think about NOT being in pain. Think about NOT having to take naps every day. It is easy, doable, and rewarding.
